Up for today's giveaway.. a trendy necklace, bracelet, or earring set of your choosing, from Shukrani Beads. Shukrani is a swahili word meaning "thanks, gratitude, and appreciation."

Shukrani Beads is devoted to the creation of fashionable jewelry that makes an impact not only on your look, but socially and globally too!

These awesome beads are made of recycled paper by women in Uganda. The money generated from these beads aid them in bettering their lives with employment, food, education, and medical benefits.

These beads from Uganda are incorporated into each piece of unique jewelry offered by Shukrani. When you wear Shukrani, people are thanking you one bead at a time.

So.. here is how it works.
To enter: head on over to Shukrani Beads Facebook page and "like" it.
While you're there, check out their product & what they are all about.
Then make your way back and leave a comment.. telling me what you liked.

The winner will be drawn next week!!

  12. I love this type of organization because it not only promotes fair trade, but it also builds into individuals' lives. It is a creative and fun idea that can bring about social change in the desperate economic status of these women. It is also a supportive way for the women to start recovery and healing as they work toward making something beautiful. There is so much brokenness in their lives. Creating beauty in such a simple way can bring hope into their lives for a more beautiful future and begin to bring light into their dark world.

Thanks so much for sponsoring this giveaway. I would love to proudly wear their jewelry and tell their story.
